Collagen (Equine Tendon Type I)
ABP’s collagen reagent is a clear, stabilised liquid reagent. Following the industry guidelines, ABP’s collagen is sourced from equine tendon – Type 1, and correlates very well with the established industry standard (see comparison here…).
Collagen is for use in routine platelet aggregation studies for the evaluation of qualitative platelet function disorders.
ABP offers Collagen in concentrations of 1mg/ml and 2mg/ml to accomodate the customers exact needs.

ABP’s Lyophlized Platelets are prepared from fixed human platelets and have been lyophilized for long term stability. ABP’s platelets are optimized to function with Ristocetin, the worlds source of Ristocetin Sulphate.
Lyophilized Platelets are for use in the quantification of Ristocetin Cofactor Activity/von Willebrand Factor Activity in plasma.
Each vial of lyophilized platelets is reconstituted with the required amount of Tris-buffered saline to give a platelet count of approximately 200×109/l.
ABP’s ADP is a lyophilized preparation of adenosine-5′-diphosphate with added buffer and stabilizers.
ADP is for use in routine platelet aggregation studies for the evaluation of qualitative platelet function disorders.
When reconstituted with 1.0ml of distilled or deionized water, the concentration of the ADP reagent is 0.2mM.
ABP’s Ephinephrine reagent is a lyophilized preparation of Epinephrine 100uM with added buffer and stabilizers.
Epinephrine is for use in routine platelet aggregation studies for the evaluation of platelet dysfunction or platelet activation.
When reconstituted with 1.0ml of distilled or deionized water, the concentration of the Epinephrine reagent is 100uM.
ABP’s Arachidonic Acid reagent is a lyophilized preparation of 5mg/ml of Arachidonic Acid with buffer and stabilizers.
Arachidonic Acid is for use in platelet aggregation studies of abnormal functions, especially dysfunction induced by aspirin and aspirin- containing medications.
When reconstituted with 1.0ml of distilled or deionized water, the working concentration of the reagent is 5mg/ml.
ABP’s TRAP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide that activates the thrombin receptor independent of receptor cleavage. TRAP-6 can be used as an alternative to Thrombin as a platelet activator as it is easily standardized and more stable than thrombin.
TRAP-6 can be used to detect the action of Gp11b/111a antagonists such as Reopro, Aggrastat, or Integrillin.
TRAP-6 is a lyophilized preperation of 1mM TRAP-6 with buffer and stabilizers.
